PCBoard Setup:
1. Goto the directory where you want your PPE and make sure to UNZIP the SETUP
file in that directory along with the PROFILE.PPE and SETUP.PPE and the other
required files.
2. In PCBSetup select option "B" for "Files Locations".
3. Then select option "B" for "Configuration Files".
4. Next goto "Name/Loc of Default CMD.LST File : Y:\PCB\MAIN\CMD.LST"
and press F2 to edit this file.
You then should see something similar to the following:
File Locations
Command Security PPE/MNU File -or- Keystroke Replacement
══════════════ ════════ ═══════════════════════════════════════
1) FINGER 0 Y:\PCB\PPE\PROFILE.PPE
2) SUBSCRIBE 0 Y:\PCB\PPE\SUB.PPE
3) J 0 Y:\PCB\PPE\JOINER.PPE
Edit the list to reflect # 1's option with "Y:\PCB\PPE" being the path to your
PPE directory where this PPE is located.
(The path is also where the "SETUP_" files must be located.
Edit the security level if you want only Subscribers, etc to use this
feature.
Maintenance:
The only maintenance that needs to be done is to type "FI SYSOP" or "FI SY"
and select option 2 to sort your list file. This can be done anytime you
like but i recommend it done weekly.
Upgrading from Version 1.x to 2.0:
Just Unzip the files over the existing files. Then from the Main Board
prompt type "FI SYSOP" or "FI SY" then select "1" from the menu as the option
to convert your data from version 1.x to 2.0. Make sure you have put the NEW
Storage file path in your PROFILE.CFG file.
